At the end of last month it became law for same-sex couples to be able to marry. This has led to a number of people expressing their opinions in the public domain, especially on social media sites. A number of these people’s comments seemed to lack something fundamental – love.
I’m not going to comment on what I believe in terms of same-sex relationships. What I will say is that people seek counselling for broken relationships, and this is not just a broken marriage or partnership. It is also because they dared to express what they believe and feel ostracised because of it.
As one commentator in the current debate put it – let’s agreeably disagree.
